I want to thank you and Therese for the incredible job you did to give me back my bite, and in doing so, my life.

I had reached the point where I didn’t believe, after thirteen years of neck, shoulder and back pain that I could be helped. My husband said he thought I was getting frail.

I cannot tell you the amount of money I spent trying to get help, including a very debilitating neck operation.

When I finally broke down sobbing in Dr. Van Enburgh’s Napa dental office, he said that I should go see Dr. Jeffrey Lopes in Sonoma, that he had the training in Neuromuscular Dentistry from the LVI Institute, that he, himself, was now working on but had not completed.

What a gift! I know that I was one of your most difficult patients, but after nine months of working to get my bite right, after all the months of testing to make sure I was on track and not going into spasms, it was impossible not to think that there was someone up there watching out for my by putting me in your skillful hands.

Therese helped put me at ease and is one of the most professional, warm and skilled people I have met. How lucky I was to have both of you working to make me better. In addition, I have to tell you how great Dr. Amundsen, the Chiropractor you recommended I work with, was in this healing process. I also want to thank Lori and Karen for their graciousness. Everyone I met in connection with your office was so caring.

I now, golf, work out lifting weights and enjoy my now “not frail” life with my husband.

Yesterday I started eating almonds again. I couldn't help but laugh and think of you. The last few days I've been aware of not being aware of my jaw and it's assorted noises, pain or discomfort...they're both gone.

FIt occurred to me that maybe I never formally thanked you. May I take this moment to do just that thank you for a job well done, and very much appreciated. It amazes me when I think of the complexity of what you've accomplished, and how well you've done it. Most everyday now I forget that these are not my teeth, this is not how I "used to be".

There are days that people actually stop me right in the middle of a conversation and say right to my face, "Wow, your teeth are incredible!" It happens more often than I'd have thought. The truly amazing part of it is, they have no idea until I tell them this isn't the way I always looked. Sometimes I think I should carry around a before picture, and stack of your cards.

OK, I've accomplished what I set out to do. I wanted you to know how much I value your expertise, your attention to detail, and your friendship.
